I think you have already read about my previous post about protecting your facebook account from phishing attacks and hackers. what if some one got your username and password? they can log in and change your email address. so you can't recover your password again. now facebook has a great security feature called Login Approvals. now no one can use your account on other computers or mobile devices without the confirmation code you get to your phone. nice isn't it. i gave my username and passwords to friends to try logging in to my account. no one succeeded because they must use previously used computer for that account. if they have my password then they must use my computer to use facebook from my account. they can't use my account on other computers without my permission. Now lets see how to enable Login Approvals in facebook.
1. Click on the drop down menu near the home button on the top right corner on facebook website.
2. Click on the security option on the left side bar
3. Click edit button for Login Approvals
4. Now you will see options for Login Approvals. if you have already configured Login approvals, you will see your phone number and other settings. To start creating login approvals click on that check box.
5. Read all information on that window and Click on setup now button.
6. Facebook will ask your password to confirm that you are the real owner of this profile.
7. Finally they will ask your mobile phone information. Select your Country and enter your phone number. after clicking on Continue button you will receive a text message from facebook. there will be a code. enter it on next window. now you have configured Login Approvals for facebook.
